CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT IN ART

The Children’s Development in Art includes two components: The Children’s Drawing Project and Developmental Stages in Children’s Art. The Children’s Drawing Project is an assignment in which a child between the ages of 2 and 13 was chosen. This child was instructed to draw two things: a self-portrait and anything else of his/her choice. Secondly, the Developmental Stages in Children’s Art shows that children all pass through the same stages of their development, but the pace of their development varies. The stages vary from child to child, however, are clearly seen with daily drawings that are kept and studied. Movement towards complexity takes the form of small changes rather than giant leaps.
